- Firstly application of 5 volt DC current is required to the black and red wires.
- Next, the voltage output needs to be checked for both phases properly. It should be extremely close to 5 volts and a clean square-looking wave should appear.
- If your signal is disturbed or distorted in any way possible, then you may have difficulty with the air gap present.
It may also happen if your voltage is in any way low, even then you would be facing difficulty with the air gap. The air gap present is a major aspect of the functioning of your encoder motor.
In case the air gap is incorrect it may cause huge problems in terms of functioning.
- The gap needed for the perfect functioning should be approximately 0.15 millimeters to 0.2 millimeters also depending on the model of motor encoder that you are using.
There can be numerous options when trying to choose a component for your motor encoder. But the first choice to be made is by determining the type of motor that is going to be chosen for your application.
Mostly the common types are used more frequently like the AC encoder motor for machines. These require automation control systems or Servo Motor encoders for applications and systems that need extreme accuracy, precision, and many more.
Moreover, any encoder motor that you will want to use may have very different types of systems. But the method of testing for all of these encoders is more or less the same.
